Strawberry frozen yogurt

Servings: 1/2-1 quart
10 min prep

4 cups of frozen strawberries
2 tablespoons of raw organic honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup of greek yogurt

Blend all ingredients in a food processor until creamy and smooth. Put back in the fridge to become an ice cream texture then enjoy!

(: You can also use any fruit. I will be making a mango frozen yogurt soon.

Chewy bars!

Servings: 6-8 bars
15-20 min prep

3 cups oats
2 tablespoons of melted butter
2 tablespoons coconut sugar
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/3 cup raw organic honey
1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
1/2 cup of any dried fruit of your liking (I used dehydrated cranberries)
1/2-1 cup dark chocolate chips (depending how much chocolate you like)
1/2 cup of any nuts of your choice (I like almonds or pecans)

Preheat oven to 350

Toast your oats on a baking pan for 15 min, stirring them half way through so they do not burn. While the oats are toasting, put the butter, sugar, honey, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg in a pan on low heat and slowly melt and combine flavours.

Make sure your sauce does not burn!

Then pull the oats out, pour into a bowl, and pour the liquid mixture, and all your lovely extra’s (nuts, fruits, chocolate) then stir until completely combined in a bowl and all oats are coated evenly. Place parchment paper in a 9×9 baking tin, making sure you have enough parchment paper left to fold over the oats. Then pour your oat mixture in the baking tin and flaten as much as possible. Then cover with the remaining parchment paper and flaten. Set granola bars aside in a cool place for an hour then you can slice into bars and enjoy! (you may freeze to make them cool faster, I usually make mine the night before)

Bowls on Bowls on Bowls

This year has been absolutely insane already, and I am so thankful! I knew 2017 was going to be a year of change and new beginnings. I have been needing to start everyday with a healthy breakfast full of energy! I keep finding different ways to make my bowls special, like preparing protein balls to add the chocolate sweetness I need. And pre made granola ( I will post the recipe) I also put my strawberries or raspberries in a pot and melt down to jam to bring out the flavours!

Teriyaki Chicken & Sweet Potato Honey Fries in Pineapple bowls!

RECIPE

 

2 Chicken breast
1 small white onion chopped
3 cloves of garlic chopped
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sesame oil
1 orange freshly squeezed
A little more then a teaspoon of ginger grated
1/2 tablespoon of honey
salt
pepper
Preheat oven 300°
Rinse your chicken off with water, then pour everything in a dish. Slice half the onion and add it to the chicken, then let it marinade for nothing less then an hour.

After heat a pan on medium heat, and add the butter and onions. Once the butter has melted and coated the pan, add the chicken and cook until golden brown on each side. Pour in all the yummy sauce it was marinating in and the garlic, then let it simmer for a few min.
Sweet potato fries ( :

So I have been cooking these fries for a while now and it has taken me some time to master my favorite sweet potato fries! Well Ive done it ( :

1-2 sweet potatoes
3 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon honey
butter
salt
pepper
chili flakes
dried thyme
cinnamon

Cut your sweet potato into fries and lay them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle olive oil all over, salt, pepper, chili flakes, thyme, and cinnamon! Put in the oven for about 10-25 min, or until your fries are crispy.
Pull out let it sit or about 5 min. Then heat a pan on low medium heat, add butter and honey. Pour all the fries in this coating and mix well. Make sure every fries is coated. Let it cook for a little, just to get the honey golden like s sticky crust outside the fries!

Then you put it in a cut open pineapple and your set!

Smoothie Bowls

RECIPE
1 pear
1 peach
1/2 cup of pinapple
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup water
1 apple
1 large banana
handfull of walnuts
handful of coconut flakes
cinnamon
honey
almond butter
Blend the pear, peach, pineapple, coconut milk, and water. Then store in the fridge. In a pan add a knob of butter, and then your chopped apple and banana. Add a pinch of cinnamon, about a teaspoon honey, and cook for about 3-4 min on medium heat. Then take off the pan and set aside, and add your walnuts, coconut flakes, more honey and butter. Only cook for about a min just until brown and coated with flavor!
Then you add the smoothie from the fridge to each bowl, and add all your toppings! ( :
